The Good Samaritan
England
Circa 1850
Attributed to Minton
This figural group depicts the Good Samaritan as he stops on his journey to assist a robbed and beaten traveller in the parable told by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. The details are finely finished. A faint mark on the base appears to be the impressed symbol for Minton in 1857.
