This beautiful patinated and gilt-lacquered lamp is made using many ancient references. The classical urn shaped font is adorned with gilt handles and a cast finial in the design of a budding plant. The feeder tubes are reeded and foliate decorated. A classical female mask is on the hub and the standard is composed of three mythological figures. A tag on the base reads: JOHNSTON BROOKES / &Co / MANUFACTURERS / LONDON.
