Sir Walter Scott is one of the most successful authors of all time and is said to be the second-most quoted writer in the Oxford English Dictionary after Shakespeare. Built on the proceeds of his phenomenally successful career, his home Abbotsford is an enduring monument to his tastes and talents. This bust was created after the work of sculptor Edward William Lyon and is impressed on the rear: SCOTT / WEDGWOOD / E W LYON F.
