This handsome bust depicts Apollo and is one of the best known examples for the epitome of classical beauty. This example is marked on the front of the socle base: ART UNION OF LONDON, 1861 and on the reverse the socle is stamped: PUBLISHED FEBRUARY 1, 1861. The back of the bust is impressed: C DELPECH/(REDT).
