Parian ~ Apollo

This handsome bust depicts Apollo and is one of the best known examples for the epitome of classical beauty. Exhibited at the Art Union of London, this example is marked on the front of the socle base: ART UNION OF LONDON, 1861 and on the reverse the socle is stamped: PUBLISHED FEBRUARY 1, 1861.The back of the bust is impressed: C DELPECH/(REDT).
