This sublime figural group depicts an Amazon astride a great stallion. Identified as Shape 246 from the Minton book, this example is after the work of J.J. Feuchere. The group first appeared in 1843 at the Paris Salon. In 1851 Minton paired the group with Theseus for the Great Exhibition.
