Bronze Figures of Voltaire and Rousseau

Circa 1825

These intricately cast figures stand on plinths of Sienna marble with patinated bronze bases. Voltaire was one of the greatest of all French writers. Rousseau was a Genovan philosopher, writer, and composer whose political philosophy influenced the progress of the Age of Enlightenment throughout Europe.
