An Empire Figural Clock

This important gilt bronze clock depicts a maternity scene of the Duchesse de Berry with the infant Duc de Bourgogne in her arms. The Compte d’Artois, future King Charles X (1824-1830), prays at her knees. The details in the mounts and ornaments used here are wonderful. In working order, the case and works have been professionally cleaned.
