A Regency Sinumbra

In a patinated surface, this resplendent sinumbra features Hercules garbed in a full lion’s skin. With snakes entwined about his hands, the font and shade are supported above his head. The pedestal is adorned with grape vines, leaves, and clusters. The period frosted, cut, and etched shade is ornamented with circles and rectilinear motifs.
