This handsome Regency sinumbra has an unique incised decoration which is highlighted by the patinated and gilt-lacquered finish. The maker is identified by the brass tag attached to the burner tube. It reads: MESSENGER & SON / 20 / GREVILLE ST LONDON / & / BIRMINGHAM. The lamp is topped by a beautiful frosted and hand cut shade.
