A Pair of Regency Candelabra

This beautiful pair of Regency candelabra were created by Messenger, one of the premier manufacturers of Regency lighting. The inside of the cast iron base weight is stamped MESSENGER. Presented in a stunning two-tone gilt-lacquered finish, the standard is composed of a maiden wearing classical attire with a basket overflowing with grape clusters balanced on her head. The basket supports a seven-light candelabrum with lotus shaped bobeches. She stands on a handsome three-sided plinth with fluted and foliate decorated brackets.
