This fine clock, with a beautifully preserved ormolu finish, is topped with a cylinder wrapped in acanthus leaves with flowers. The case contains a panel depicting the Annunciation when the angel Gabriel was sent to the virgin Mary. The Holy Spirit is seen as a dove descending from a cloud. The works have been cleaned. The springs are dated 1810 and the case and works are marked by the maker; CHOISELAT=GALLIEN/Fab.’ de Bronzes de G.de Meuble/LESIEUR H. A PARIS.
