A Dressing Table

Albany, New York
Circa 1830
Attributed to John Meads and William Alvord

With splendid crotch mahogany veneers, this lovely dressing table retains the period rectilinear glass supported by delicate scrolling elements mounted on a box with three drawers above a case with two drawers raised on four tapering faceted legs with bun feet. The feet are adorned with an ebonized finish and stamped brass banding. The bold stamped brass hardware is stunning.
