A Classical Pier Table
This fine pier table with rich crotch mahogany veneers exhibits the form and carved ornamentation associated with Boston cabinetmaking. The rectilinear carrara marble top rests upon an ogee shaped apron with foliate carved corners. The pilasters and curvilinear supports have foliate carved caps and bases above a shaped plinth, which is raised on concealed brass casters.
