A Classical Games Table

Salem, Massachusetts
Circa 1825

This Classical games table has a beautifully shaped top with a molded edge above a conforming apron. Acanthus leaves are carved on the front corners with star-punched backgrounds. The legs are boldly turned with ring turnings and large reeds. Above the reeding on the front legs are carvings of acanthus leaves.
