A Classical Dressing Case

Boston, Massachusetts
Circa 1820

The drawer fronts on this delightful diminutive dressing case are veneered in a fine crotch grain with distinctively grained banding and retain their original turned pulls. The veneered mahogany top is also bordered with a straight-grained mahogany. The case is raised on four ball-shaped brass feet with remnants of original gilt-lacquered finishes.
